Clow lived for centuries as the most powerful magician in the world, having invented his own type of magic as well as creating the Clow Cards and his Guardians, Yue and Cerberus. He traveled the world with them as his only permanent companions, telling fortunes and solving people's problems (or causing them, from time to time), until one day he met a beautiful sorceress known as Yuuko Ichihara. The two of them accomplished a lot; they met Mokona and discovered the existence of multiple dimensions. Somewhere along the way, Clow found that he was truly happy when he was with Yuuko, perhaps in a way that he had never felt before. Their time together was short, however. As Yuuko was nearing death, Clow's feelings were so strong and his magic so powerful that without even meaning to he stopped time for Yuuko, so that she would open her eyes again. His relative, Fei Wang Reed, seized this opportunity to try and bring her back to life for real, but Clow and Yuuko knew that the cost would be reality as they knew it. So, together they made preparations for the children in whose hands the future lay. Once they had created the Mokona Modoki and he had arranged for Sakura Kinomoto to inherit his Cards and Guardians, Clow said goodbye to his loved ones and set off for Clow Country to replace the king he knew would be erased. He regretted his unspoken wish now and resented being the most powerful magician in the world, so to try and make up for his mistakes he gave his life so that the clone Syaoran who Fei Wang had created would live. It was the least he could do, he thought. |

| It's a little-known fact that Clow came to the City on purpose. Or at least, he knew that it was what would happen when he died and was expecting to show up there, but he didn't know what it would be like or who he might meet. It turns out that it's a lot like home and he has met quite a few friendly, and not-so-friendly, people in his first year there and has what you might call a family. He has opened up a magical supply shop called the Bridge of Birds, which appears to be doing well even if it does explode every once in a while. Currently he lives with Fai, Yuui, and Yuuko and his overarching concern is defending them from the mad scientist Mayuri Kurotsuchi. His ongoing quest is to find out as much as possible about how the City works, mainly out of professional curiosity - although after speaking to the being he and Yuuko refer to as "Mother" it's beginning to look less like that and more like personal concern. |
{ Hypnagogy } Ku Luo "Clow" Reed (username Sol_Revenant) is a sixteen year old computer genius who plays a mid-level Shamanic Griot character in Sol Invictus. In real life, he lives with his cousin, Touya Kinomoto, and Touya's boyfriend, Yukito Tsukishiro, who Clow also has a crush on. His main project at the moment is trying to 'fix' his AI, Yue, who accidentally got melded with Yukito's online avatar and is disturbingly lacking in personality traits and purpose. { Toujours } Clow came to the Toujours Hotel not long after he and Yuuko created the Mokona Modoki, and he'd really like to get back home and finish up what he was doing there. He's not stressing over it, though - never does - and in the meantime has been watching the other guests. There's quite a bit of drama that goes on there, isn't there? |
